Over the weekend, we had some of our students participate in a 5k race called Girls on the Run! After many weeks of practice, our girls were able to run the race that they worked so hard in preparing for. Held in Harrisburg, PA, 13 of our girls ran against 1914 other participants! Teagen Burger, Riley Graybill, Aubrey Fogle, Eowyn Rendall, Ella Snyder, Kaylee Nolt, Neveah Mesmer, Siobhan Cameron, Abriella Imes, Catherine West, Emma Walter, Elizabeth Landis, and Emmaleigha Beschorner raced against the clock, ready to show us what all the hard work was for! The girls were dedicated to their mission - to make it to the finish line in positive spirits - and they succeeded. Take a look at all these smiling faces once the race was over. One young runner, Emmaleigha Beschorner, told me that although the race was hard and her legs are still sore, she had a lot of fun. Some of that fun is due to the dedicated coaches, as well - we would like to thank Laine Guiser, Tiffanie Burger, and Karen Imes for stepping up and running the race (most literally) with our young girls. Congratulations to our fast tigers - you did a wonderful job showing us what it means to be strong, healthy young women!
